Making Friends with Forgiveness

The Art of Letting Go

Meet your guides

Two women. One gentle path forward.

Sharon Laflamme and Deborah Kozich bring complementary experience in nervous-system support, coaching, wellness, and heart-centered practice to help people move forward after trauma, betrayal, and old hurt—without denying what happened or forcing forgiveness before they are ready.

Why this work needs care

Healing cannot be rushed.

When hurt has lived in the body for a long time, advice alone is rarely enough. People need room for truth, readiness, boundaries, and choice. Sharon and Deborah created Making Friends With Forgiveness to offer that kind of steady, compassionate support.

Safety before release

Notice what your body and emotions can hold today.

Truth before positivity

Name the hurt without minimizing or spiritualizing it away.

Choice before pressure

Forgiveness is invited as a process, never demanded as a deadline.

Freedom without reunion

Letting go does not require excusing harm or restoring contact.

A body-aware approach to transforming pain into peace

Sharon is the founder of Creating Serenity Now, LLC and a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. Her own path through childhood trauma, criticism, abandonment, and perfectionism shaped a deeply compassionate belief: every person deserves to know they are valuable, worthy, and capable of becoming their healthiest self.

Her work helps people slow down and listen to what the body has been carrying. Through somatic awareness, nervous-system support, yoga, meditation, and Reiki, Sharon helps learners build the inner steadiness needed to meet difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them.

Within Making Friends With Forgiveness, she brings the body back into a conversation that is too often treated as a purely mental decision. Her guidance supports safety, self-compassion, and release at a pace that respects each person's boundaries.

Coaching, self-love, and practical guidance for life's transitions

Deborah is a Midlife Self-Love Coach, Certified Light Master, and Integrative Wellness Guide with more than 20 years of experience in life and wellness coaching. Having navigated significant life challenges and transitions herself, she understands how quickly change can unsettle confidence, identity, relationships, and a sense of purpose.

Her work helps people reconnect with self-worth, inner wisdom, and the courage to choose what comes next. She combines reflective coaching, wellness practices, and light-energy work to turn insight into grounded, repeatable steps—so a learner is not simply told to “move on,” but is supported in rebuilding self-trust.

Within Making Friends With Forgiveness, Deborah brings language, structure, and encouragement to the inner work of letting go. Her focus is helping people meet old pain with love while opening to new possibility, personal freedom, and a life that feels like their own again.

Stronger together

Where their work meets.

Sharon and Deborah saw the same need from different directions: people carrying anger, grief, betrayal, and self-blame often know they want peace, but do not know how to reach it safely.

Making Friends With Forgiveness brings their complementary practices into one guided path. Sharon helps learners notice and regulate what is happening in the body. Deborah helps them reflect, reconnect with self-worth, and make meaning from what they discover. Together, they turn forgiveness from an abstract instruction into a practice that can be felt, explored, and chosen.

1

Body

Somatic awareness, breath, and nervous-system support create room to stay present.

2

Mind

Coaching questions and journaling help name the story, patterns, and possibilities.

3

Heart

Self-love, compassion, and honest reflection soften the grip of blame without erasing truth.

4

Spirit

Yoga, Reiki, meditation, and light-energy practices support meaning, hope, and connection.
